Worship

"Worship is the 'thank you' that refuses to be silenced." - Max Lucado

Wednesday, 9:30 AM - Praying at Parkwood

Every Wednesday morning throughout the year we meet in the sanctuary and pray for our church, our community, our country. Each week there will be a prayer topic that we will concentrate on but we will also pray for those who attend and their needs, and for those who are listed on our weekly prayer list. All are invited to come and feel the power of prayer in their lives. Elder Debbie Hagan leads the prayer session that usually lasts about 30 minutes. If you cannot make it to the church, we would encourage you to pray each Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM wherever you are so as to join in our prayers for Parkwood. More>>

Sunday, 11:00 AM - Traditional Worship Service

Worship is our central focus at Parkwood Church. It is a time where we come together to give thanks and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ for the abundant blessings he has bestowed upon us. We are a proud member of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A), and as such, our liturgy follows the guidelines for worship set forth in the Book of Order. Our traditional worship service is filled with prayer, the reading of Scripture, a children's message, and a morning message from our pastor. It also includes dynamic musical performances by our chancel choir, bell choir and youth choir. Even our youngest in worship participate by playing the Krystal Bells on a regular basis. We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
