SEPTEMBER REQUESTS-BREAD OF LIFE FOOD PANTRY –  Canned fruit, salad dressing, children’s cereal.

CHILD CARE  - Is available for anyone with children up to 3 years of age. Our Nursery is in great need of volunteers to assist Rhonda each week.  If you would like to have fun with our children who are three years of age and under, please consider placing your name on the sign-up sheet located on the Welcome Center desk. It is not necessary to have a child in the Nursery to assist.

GIANT EAGLE CERTIFICATES – Are sold in the Welcome Center before and after worship and also in the office during the week.  They come in denominations of 100, 50, and 25 dollars.  We sell the certificates as a fund raising project, for every $25 certificate purchased the church gets $1.40, every $50 certificate the church gets $2.50 and for every $100 certificate we get $5.00.  Did you ever think you could help give to the church by simply buying groceries as a result of using a Giant Eagle card purchased at the church?  Also, when you buy your groceries using the cards you get fuel perks and when you buy gas using the cards you get food perks.

CHOIR REHEARSAL has begun, Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., contact Bryan Lassinger if you would like to join the choir, new members are always welcome.

MEN’S ENSEMBLE AND PARKWOOD RINGERS – Rehearsals for both groups have begun. Men’s Ensemble rehearses on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and Parkwood Ringers rehearse on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.  We are always looking for new faces, prayerfully consider joining us.

ANNUAL BLOOD DRIVE – There is no substitute for blood.  If people lose blood from surgery or injury or if there bodies can’t produce enough, there is only one place to turn volunteer blood donors.  And, even though 60% of us U.S. population is eligible to donate blood – only 5% do.  Next Sunday, September 19th, Parkwood Church will be holding their annual fall blood drive in fellowship hall.  Please prayerfully consider being one of the much needed 5% and signup today to donate.  See Karen Hayward or Chery Falcettoni after church or contact Nancy Burke in the office during the week.  Think about it…Since a pint is a pound, you lose a pound every time you donate blood.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS – Parkwood’s Falliday at the Pollock’s Bear Creek Farm is Saturday, October 2nd.  This year there will be many activities for adults and children alike. See the insert in today’s bulletin for more information and to make your reservations.
