I have a daughter and 3 grandchildren.

I enjoy gardening and at one point had over 100 different daylilies in my yard.

I have been doing genealogy for over 35 years and was the Membership Chairman of WPGS for 13 years. I have been a D.A.R. member for 27 years.

My spare time now is spent knitting for charity.

Deacon

Kristie Pentrack

Kristie started attending Parkwood regularly in 2019.
She currently resides in Fox Chapel and is a proud mother of Gabbie (who means the world to her) and wife of Chris.

She's currently in her 17th year as an elementary school teacher in the Fox Chapel Area School District. She enjoys listening to her third-grade students' stories and depends on them to help her keep up with the latest fads!

In her free time, Kristie loves traveling to new places, eating Mexican food, listening to music, and spending time with her family.

Kristie enjoys being part of Parkwood and wants people to know that she is always willing to lend a listening ear.

I’ve  been a member of Parkwood Church since 1985. My husband John and I were married here. We have three grown children and three grandchildren. We are fortunate that they are all local and we get to spend time together.
I am enjoying retirement after 32 years as a mail carrier and now in the middle of my fifth term serving as a deacon. The  deacons work in the church and the community is very important and meaningful to me.
When I’m not doing my deacon, sanctuary guild and usher duties, I enjoy watching our granddaughter doing gymnastics or our grandsons on the soccer field or basketball court. I also spend time at the gym, hiking, biking, family camp trips and beach vacations.

I have been a part of the Parkwood family since the very beginning—I was baptized here in 1977 and never left. Parkwood is more than just a church to me; it is my "safe place," and my heart’s desire is for every person who walks through our doors to feel that same sense of peace and belonging that I feel. This calling to ensure others feel cared for is exactly why I am humbled to serve my second term as a Deacon.

Born and raised in Hampton Township, I now live in West Deer with my best friend and husband, Darryl, and our dog, Harley. Service has always been the cornerstone of my life. I’ve worked at Deer Lakes School District since 1997, serving previously as the Supervisor of School Police and currently as a Paraprofessional. Additionally, I’ve been a volunteer firefighter for 29 years, starting at Hampton VFD and now for West Deer VFD #2. Where in addition to being a volunteer firefighter, I also serve on the Board of Directors.

When I’m not volunteering or serving on the Fellowship Committee (which I’ve done for 20 years!) you can find me camping in Tionesta, cooking, baking, or swimming in the water. I love animals and if there are any around, you’ll find me with them. I’m so grateful to serve this congregation and help make Parkwood a home for everyone.
